The critics and stars have given a warm welcome to our latest homegrown production - The Ockerbys on Ice.

“It might have taken a few years to reach the stage but it has certainly been worth the wait,” wrote the reviewer from Whatsgoodtodo.com who gave the show 5 stars.

And it achieved 4 stars from North West End who described it as "undoubtedly the best play The Dukes has produced in house in many years and you’d be hard pressed to find a better regional production this year...."An absolutely cracking piece of theatre which you should definitely see.”

There was more praise from the Lancaster Guardian who said that the icy drama left a warm feeling of satisfaction and deserved a second life after its run comes to an end here on October 22.

The play also proved a hit with some special guests from Coronation Street: David Neilson(Roy Cropper); Melanie Hill(Cathy Matthews); and Dolly-Rose Campbell(Gemma Winter) as well as the playwright, Jim Cartwright.
