Playreading Club at The Dukes!

On the first Wednesday of every month, come along and meet us in the Gallery to read and chat about classic plays that are related to our programme. That means Shakespeare, Noël Coward and more will be involved in our playreading discovery! No prior experience is needed and all are welcome to join for the drama, the laughs and a brew.

The sessions will be led by Emma Nixon, who is the Creative Administrator & Programme Coordinator at the Dukes and works professionally as an Actor including our last park show, Alice in Wonderland, with Three Left Feet and After Dark.

Our next free Playreading Club will be held on the 6th August 2025, 11:30am, in the Gallery.

In our next Playreading session we will be reading One Man, Two Guvnors by Richard Bean, an adaptation of the classic Italian comedy, The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni.

This is a play filled to the brim with silliness, and face-paced physical comedy, so, get your stomachs prepared for a laugh and arm yourself with your best wit!

Sessions are FREE, but places are limited, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment
