Alice in Wonderland | Home Learning

The Dukes has commissioned this curiouser and curiouser free drama-related resource for students currently learning at home and  teachers looking to create lesson plans to deliver online.

Content includes work sheets and videos, focussing on the six virtual sessions on the theme of Alice in Wonderland. The toolkit has been designed specifically for home learning, with short 15-minute tasks that can be completed by students at home, or set as part of a remote lesson.

These sessions are led by The Knotted Project.

Adventures with Alice & Great Wood Primary School, Morecambe

We love these photos sent in from Great Wood Primary School, Morecambe featuring their work on the project - so creative and wonderful to see on display!

Teacher Kate Flaherty said: "Year 4 children at Great Wood Primary School in Morecambe have really enjoyed a digital learning resource provided by The Dukes Theatre and The Knotted Project on the theme " Alice in Wonderland". It was a wonderful creative adventure featuring drama warm- ups, story map construction, inventing and performing new characters, writing poetry and fantasy monologues- all delivered on-screen in our classroom by Natalie and Simon. We hope to extend the adventure in school with some outdoor drama and a Mad Hatter's Tea Party!"

Artsmark

Enrich, develop and strengthen your school’s arts and culture provision with Artsmark at Dukes Lancaster.

Artsmark award celebrates schools that champion the arts and strive for excellence in their provision.

The new Artsmark has been designed by and for schools and teachers and will ensure that many more young people can participate in the best arts and cultural experiences.

The refreshed Artsmark will be an irresistible way for schools and other youth educational settings to demonstrate and celebrate the impact of their arts and culture activities. It will be a straightforward way for schools to demonstrate their approach to a broad and balanced curriculum as required by the new Ofsted inspection framework and of supporting them to deliver the new curriculum.

Schools and other organisations in England that wish to participate in Artsmark are encouraged to have a look at the Artsmark website.
