Go International At The Dukes
A chance to see a documentary about the international side of Lancaster life is on offer for free here at The Dukes this month.
Lancaster International (PG) will be screened on February 16 at 2pm following its sold out premiere at The Storey last month.
The half hour film is about the everyday lives of ordinary people in Lancaster who have settled in the city from other countries.
They were not afraid to change jobs, country, leave their families behind, adopt a new language and embrace new culture.
Many foreigners who live in Lancaster didn’t have it in mind as their original destination so what brought them here? What was the most challenging aspect of their life when they first arrived and what is going to happen to the international community when Brexit is finally here?
This film captures their views at the moment before Brexit and explores what it might mean for them.
Tickets are free for the screening but can be booked in advance by contacting our Box Office on 01524 598500 or visit www.dukes-lancaster.org
