Comedy Duo Fly Into The Dukes

Comedy Duo Fly Into The Dukes

Laurel & Hardy will be getting into another fine mess when they appear on our big screen on October 22.

Ollie and Stan star in The Flying Deuces (U), our latest dementia friendly film screening.

In this comedy classic, they play two Americans who head to France to join the Foreign Legion after Ollie suffers a setback in his love life. Of course the pair encounter mishaps along the way and even attempt desertion.

The screening begins at 2pm and finishes at around 3.25pm. People can move around and come and go as they please during the film and live entertainment is presented during the 15 minute interval.

Light and sound is specially adjusted for the screenings which though programmed for people with dementia, their families, friends and carers, are open to anyone wishing to enjoy the film.

Pastoral care is not provided at A Life More Ordinary events so a friend, relative or carer must also attend.

Tickets are priced £6.50/£5.50 concessions with free admission for one friend, family member or carer. There’s a free pastry and coffee with each ticket.

Further details about A Life More Ordinary are available at http://dukes-lancaster.org/creative-learning/inclusive-theatre/ where there’s short films about the scheme.
