Join us for a special screening of the 1928 The Fall of the House of Usher, with a live musical score by Neil Brand.
An underseen gem, Jean Epstein’s adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher is an atmospheric study of hereditary madness. Allan is the sole friend of Roderick Usher, who lives with his wife, Madeleine in an eerie house. Upon visiting them, Allan finds Madeleine suffering from a mysterious illness and Roderick acting erratically.
