Don’t Be A Chump – Catch This Comedy Classic
Laurel & Hardy return to our cinema this month to launch our new season of dementia friendly screenings.
A Chump At Oxford(U) is screened as part of our A Life More Ordinary(ALMO) programme which aims to improve the lives of people with dementia and memory loss, their friends and families though everyone is welcome.
A Chump At Oxford sees Laurel & Hardy accidentally capture a bank robber while sweeping the streets and they are rewarded with an Oxford University education by the grateful bank president.
The screening begins at 2pm on January 28 and ends at around 3.25pm.
Later films in the ALMO series are Mary Poppins Returns(U) on February 25 and Lancaster On Film(U) on March 25.
Light and sound is specially adjusted for the ALMO screenings and people can move around and come and go as they please during the film and interval entertainment.
Pastoral care is not provided at A Life More Ordinary events so a friend, relative or carer must also attend.
Tickets are priced £6.50/£5.50 concessions with free admission for one friend, family member or carer. There’s a free pastry and a tea or coffee with each ticket.
