The Dukes is committed to supporting the artists of the future through in-depth training and practical opportunities so young people can develop their practice at the heart of the only producing theatre in Lancashire.
As part of our Young Company you will have access to inclusive weekly workshops, creative projects and the chance to perform on one of our stages. Members will also benefit from a bespoke ticket scheme giving free access and discounts to elements of our diverse programme of events (subject to availability).
Groups are open to anyone aged 8 to 21 years old, providing opportunity for young people to develop confidence, teamwork, communication and performance skills in a safe, fun and inspiring space.
Our groups are delivered as follows:
TUESDAYS
Juniors (School Years 3-6 | Ages 7-11): 4pm-5.30pm
Intermediates (School Years 7-8 | Ages 11-13): 5.45pm-7.15pm
WEDNESDAYS
Seniors 1 (School Years 9-10 | Ages 13-14): 5:30-7pm
Seniors 2 (School Years 11-13+ | Ages 14-21): 7:30-9pm
AUTUMN TERM DATES (September – December):
Term Starts: w/c 15 September
Half Term: (no sessions) w/c 27 October
Term Ends: w/c 24 November
*By Selecting 16th or 17th September you will be registered for the entire term
We offer a limited number of non-means tested bursaries on all our activities each year
