A feminist triumph, it chronicles the journey of Neeta, a young mother with dreams of becoming a dancehall star alongside her two friends. Captured on location in Harlesden, the film offers an iconic glimpse into 90s British Caribbean dancehall culture.

Burning An Illusion

Explore the emotional and political growth of a young Black couple in Thatcher's London with Menelik Shabazz’s groundbreaking feature, 'Burning An Illusion.' Shot around the communities of Notting Hill and Ladbroke Grove, this film was the first to give a central voice to a Black woman, tracing her journey to emotional maturity, emancipation, and political awakening.
