Petr Horáček & Nicola Davies (illustrator workshop event)

Full of wonder, this dazzling collection of 40 poems and dramatic, full-colour illustrations is perfect for anyone interested in discovering more about the natural world. Author, Nicola, and illustrator, Petr, will delight family audiences with an event full of poetry, information about nature and some live art too! The Star Whale has been nominated for the Carnegie Medal, the UK’s oldest children’s book awards.

‘Horacek’s richly coloured paintings inspired Davies to write 40 poems about animals, from rollicking couplets to wonder-filled lyricism. Together, they form a passionate, magical love letter to nature’
