Two of the most engaging performers of their work will read from and talk about Out There in the Wild, illustrated by Diana Catchpole, a poetry book that celebrates our place in nature.

It is packed with poems about everything that lives in the sea and rivers, on land and in the sky. You will meet eagles and skylarks, tigers and elephants, foxes, rabbits and bats, bees and butterflies and many other natural wonders in beautiful poems written by Nicola Davies and Dom Conlon that invite you to consider how we are all connected to the wild.

AUTHORS:

Dom Conlon is a poet and author whose first two books were nominated for the Carnegie Medal. Through commissions for the BBC to being a UNESCO world poetry day poet, Dom continues to explore the many ways in which humans interact with and respond to the world around them. 

Nicola Davies is a writer, producer and presenter of radio and television, including The Really Wild Show. Amongst her many acclaimed books for children are The Star Whale (with Petr Horacek), One Tiny Turtle, and Poo which was shortlisted for a Blue Peter Book Award. 

Diana Catchpole is an illustrator and printmaker. She lives in Cambridgeshire and takes much of her inspiration from the surrounding countryside and the wild animals that inhabit
