For Spooked 2026, your digital footprint takes centre stage! Dive into this strand of glitchy, unsettling and iconic films that fear technology or were inspired by internet culture, videogames and more!
A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom in this supernatural science fiction horror, starring Oscar® nominees Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) and Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value).
Inspired by a 2019 4chan image of an empty yellow-carpeted office space, Kane Parsons’ nine-minute “found-footage” horror short Backrooms racked up 77 million views on YouTube since he posted it four years ago when he was just 16.
* This version of the film features 15 minutes of bonus footage after the end credits.
