WatchWord Glasses

We’re pleased to announce that from Friday 28 March 28, to Sunday 13 April, the Dukes will be testing WatchWord Captioned Glasses, which aim to enhance the accessibility of film for D/deaf, deafened, and hard-of-hearing customers.

With the WatchWord smart glasses, captions are broadcast straight to a wearable set of smart glasses, and users can customise their experience by choosing the colour, size, and position of the captions.

The glasses can only operate when distributors provide CCAP subtitles on the film; this currently covers screenings of Conclave, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy and Six: The Musical but we hope to update the list as distributors confirm details.
