At The Dukes, we believe that the arts should be open and accessible to everyone, and we know that the cost of cultural experiences can sometimes be a barrier. The Dukes Affordable Ticket Scheme aims to make many of our shows, films and activities more affordable for people on lower incomes.

Once you’re part of the scheme, you’ll be able to access a limited number of tickets at a reduced price for selected performances and screenings at The Dukes. You’ll also receive information about special offers, events and opportunities to be involved in creative activities.

Participation in The Dukes Affordable Ticket Scheme is free, and membership lasts for one year from the date your application is accepted.


WHO IS IT FOR?

Anyone on Universal Credit, Jobseekers Allowance, Pension Credit, Tax Credits.

* A maximum of 1 person can join the scheme per household.


HOW TO APPLY:

Complete the application form and submit, along with your supporting evidence, to tickets@dukeslancaster.org or hand it in to the box office. 

Supporting evidence can include a letter, pdf or screenshot evidencing: Universal Credit, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income Support, Housing Benefit, Pension Credit, Tax Credits (low income)

Once your application has been accepted, you’ll be able to book from a selection of discounted tickets for shows and events, subject to availability.

Membership runs for 12 months from the date your application is accepted. Prior to expiry, we’ll remind you how to submit updated evidence if you’d like to remain part of the scheme.

WHAT EVENTS ARE ON THE SCHEME?

Cinema: Any regular cinema screening for £5. or Stage-On-Screen for £10 (excludes outdoor cinema and special events)

I Daniel Blake: £10 tickets

Bog Witch: £17 tickets


* A limited number of tickets are available per event / screening, allocated on first come, first served basis.


The Affordable Ticket discount will be applied automatically at checkout (up to 4 tickets per person, per event). 

Make sure you're logged in to your registered account for the discount to appear. If it doesn't apply, the limit may have been reached.
