PIONEERING PROJECT ON WOMAN’S HOUR

PIONEERING PROJECT ON WOMAN’S HOUR

We were delighted to welcome Woman’s Hour reporter, Judy Merry, to our Journey Café on Monday. Judy spoke to members of the audience who had come along to enjoy a screening of Some Like It Hot, as well as Dukes staff, volunteers and representatives of Age UK Lancashire who are our partners in this pioneering series of arts events. Some of the interviews will be broadcast tomorrow – Friday, October 31 – on Radio 4 between 10am-10.45am. The Journey Café, which runs every couple of months, is part of the Journeying Together project aiming to give greater access to the arts for people with dementia and their family members though the events are open to everyone. Those attending have chance to socialise before and after the film and some changes are made to lighting and sound to ensure that a comfortable environment is created. For more information on future events, contact our Box Office on 01524 598500 or visit www.dukes-lancaster.org/journeycafe
