The band developed their exciting new stripped-down quartet sound from this year’s album, “Hotel Pupik” (Cuniform), when working as artists in residence at the eponymous hotel deep in the Austrian countryside.
This new music is both a continuation of the ongoing 20-year musical relationship between these musicians and a reassessment of what the band is now in 2025.
Their classic energy is infused with an enhanced use of silence and space, and the attempt to transmit a ‘something else’ that could only be achieved by an ensemble with this amount of shared history.
