Rent - The Musical

After the success of Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical, That Face Theatre Co. are back and proud to present the ground-breaking rock musical RENT, reimagined for The Round.

Inspired by Puccini's classic opera La Boheme, RENT follows a group of impoverished young artists living in Manhattan’s East Village as they navigate love, loss and the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS.

This exhilarating landmark musical features unforgettable music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson including iconic songs such as ‘Seasons of Love’ and ‘Take Me or Leave Me’.

This community production stars a wealth of local talent with Direction from James Shields, Musical Direction (Vocal Coach) from Tracie Penwarden and Musical Direction (Conductor & Orchestrator) from Ian Allan, who leads an electric five-piece live band of professional musicians.

Winner of four Tony Awards, six Drama Desk Awards and the hugely prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Drama. RENT is a must-see for anyone who appreciates great music, powerful storytelling and imaginative theatre.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
