Roger Corman’s 1964 cult classic Edgar Allan Poe adaptation.
The Satan-worshipping Prince Prospero rules over his kingdom with a callous disregard for his people and an insatiable appetite for his own pleasure. As a deadly plague rages outside his castle walls, Prospero hosts lavish parties for the local nobility. But at the latest revelry, a mysterious, cloaked figure pays a visit.
Screening to mark the passing of film legend Roger Corman earlier in the year and the film’s 60th anniversary, this screening will be introduced by Professor Catherine Spooner.
