Workshops

Limitless is a brand new Young Company session for Disabled, neurodiverse and/or autistic young people and adults.

Working with dedicated theatre practitioner Emma Rucastle, young people will take part in weekly drama and theatre sessions and work towards regular performances at The Dukes. Parents and carers are actively encouraged to join in the fun and siblings are welcome to take part in simple self-led crafts.

Emma is a Lancaster-based artist, theatre maker and creative practitioner. Passionate about inclusive theatre, she has extensive experience of working with people of all ages on theatre projects and productions of all kinds. She is excited about the possibilities this new group has to offer

The sessions will take part in The Dukes Moor Space building which is wheelchair accessible. The sessions will be fun, inclusive and will introduce young people to a range of movement and performance styles.

Looking for something creative to do during February half term? Love our popular Summer School or Play in a day? Then join our Play in 3 days! Children aged 6-12 will take part in creative rehearsal sessions alongside games and improvisation, all led by a skilled practitioner. The 3 days will culminate with a performance for family and friends and is a great opportunity to explore your theatrical side, make new friends, learn valuable skills and have fun.

The Dukes, in collaboration with associate artist Three Left Feet, are proud to present Acting Classes! These classes are suitable for adults 18+ yrs and for any abilities, ranging from beginners to seasoned performers.

Our Adult Acting Classes cover an array of genres, topics and skills within the world of theatre, so you’ll find something new in every class! We will focus on a different play script each term and Spring/Summer terms will lead to a shared performance of your inspiring work.

Each session will be led by an experienced Three Left Feet facilitator and there may also be some special guest facilitators along the way.

All are welcome to these sessions, we are all learning and exploring together. We can’t wait to get stuck in!
