Playreading Club

On the first Wednesday of every month, come along and meet us in the Gallery to read a play!

This will be a different play every month and can range from Shakespeare to great modern plays. This is such a rare opportunity to bring some incredible writing to life, and chat about the characters and stories. No prior experience is needed, all are welcome to join for the drama, the laughs and a brew.

The sessions will be led by Emma Nixon, who is the Head of Programme at the Dukes and has worked professionally as an Actor and dramaturg for over 15 years.

Wednesday 1st July, 11.30am & 4pm: The Hobbit by J.R.R.Tolkien adapted by Rony Robinson and Graham Watkins

Wednesday 5th August, 11.30am & 4pm: title to be confirmed

Wednesday 2nd September, 11.30am & 4pm: title to be confirmed

Wednesday 7th October, 11.30am & 5.30pm: title to be confirmed

Wednesday 4th November, 11.30am: title to be confirmed

Wednesday 2nd December, 11.30am: title to be confirmed

Places are limited, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment!
