The first great concert film, Jazz on a Summer's Day not only captures some of the greatest performers of the 1950s at the height of their popularity, it is a fascinating record of an era.

A record of the fifth edition of the festival, it was directed by famed photographer Bert Stern, in collaboration with Aram Akavian. Featured artists include Thelonious Monk, Anita O'Day, Louis Armstrong, Dinah Washington and the great Mahalia Jackson.

This superb concert film - often considered the first concert film ever - has been painstakingly restored.
